For every retail Eminence product sold, a tree is planted through our Forests for the Future initiative. Eminence has planted more than 20 million trees in 22 different countries!
The Forests For The Future programme assists farmers in developing viable and long-term crops and farms. This aids local communities in growing their own food and establishing a stable source of income for their families. Our initiative has resulted in the planting of trees in over 22 countries and the support of numerous communities and families.
Forests Can Change The Future
Trees aid in environmental restoration, climate change mitigation, and the development of a greener world for future generations. Agroforestry practises that are climate-smart have been established to boost crop yields while also improving soil quality, water efficiency, and carbon storage.
Award-Winning Recognition
Eminence Organics was awarded the Innovate Award for Philanthropic Initiatives for the Forests for the Future programme by the International Spa Association (ISPA) in 2016. The Forests for the Future initiative’s life-changing effect is only possible thanks to the continuing support of our committed spa partners and customers.
The Impact of a Single Tree
Each year, a single tree can produce approximately 260 pounds of oxygen. Trees help to fight climate change by lowering air temperatures and stabilising the soil by preventing erosion through their roots. Through nitrogen fixation and increased water penetration, trees contribute to the fertility of the soil.
Forests for the Future teaches farmers in developing countries how to grow profitable and sustainable crops and farms. For every product sold, we plant a tree, allowing rural communities to grow and empower local people to restore their climate, grow their own food, and create a sustainable income and future for themselves, their families, and their communities. Eminence Organics is happy to be able to contribute to the growth of these areas on a regular basis.
Families can change their lives by planting unique types of fast-growing trees, fruit trees, hardwoods, and food crops in a systematic manner over a four-year cycle. Thousands of trees are planted by programme participants, providing families with renewable food supplies, livestock feed, goods to sell, fuelwood, and a 400% rise in annual income in just four years.
This program has achieved specific milestones including:
Over 200 farming families trained and supported – protecting approximately 2,000 people from extreme poverty.
A total of 82% of farmers have seen significant income increases
At least 400,000 fruit, nut and forestry trees planted each year for household consumption and sale.
