1. Take Stock
All beauty and skin products have a shelf life, so harness your spring cleaning bug to rummage through your cosmetic and skin care collection - and purge! The change of season brings the perfect time to check expiry dates, product quality (colour, consistency and smell) and SPF dates (active ingredients in sunscreen can deteriorate after three years). While you are there, clean your makeup brushes with a natural brush cleanser and throw out any old makeup sponges. Also, wipe lipstick tops with alcohol and sharpen pencils to remove any lurking bacteria.

2. Start Fresh
As the season changes, so does your skin needs. Start the beginning of spring by investing in your skin and make an appointment for a skin assessment at your local Eminence Spa Partner. Along with some well-deserved pampering, you will get loads of great advice about the best products to treat any of your skin concerns. Super helpful if you need new products after your skin care stock take!
3. Shed Your Winter Skin
As winter wraps up, your skin may still be catching up! If you have a dry, flaky winter-skin hangover, get exfoliating! Your feet, knees and elbows are prime areas where dry skin builds up, so get your body spring-ready with our Coconut Sugar Scrub. Soon you will be in skirts and sandals so make this a priority today!
Dry body brushing can also assist in reducing dry patches but be sure to follow with an application of Coconut Firming Body Lotion to keep your skin supple, smooth and Spring-a-licious.
4. Balance Your Oils
Want to be Spring fresh and bright – go light! Adjust your skin care products from thick and rich winter formulations to lighter versions. Remember, as the temperature rises so does your skin’s oil production. An excellent way to manage the transition into the warmer weather is to use our new dual product lines, The Balance Collection. Our innovative divided jars allow you to find your skin’s balance by offering two products, giving you oil control, hydration and pore refinement all in one package. The moisturiser duo includes a Green Tea T-Zone Mattifier formulated to control the oil of the T-Zone and a Pomelo Cheek Hydrator to treat your dry cheek areas.
Don’t forget, your cleansing ritual is still important too. If you find a foaming cleanser a little drying on your skin, switch to a lighter formulation such as Rice Milk 3 in 1 Cleansing Water, another new product in our Spring Balance Collection.
5. Respect the Sunshine
We are firm believers in ‘good sunshine’ and all the benefits of getting a healthy dose of Vit D. However, we respect the sunshine and our skin by protecting ourselves from prolonged sun exposure. An easy way to make sure you are covered is by using a tinted moisturiser or mineral foundation.
